Italy was the main country where Renaissance art began,
Leonardo da Vinci was a famous Italian Renaissance painter. Da Vinci was seen
as the perfect Renaissance man as he was an inventor, a sculptor, painter and
more.Like many renaissance painters Leonardo studied the anatomy so when he was painting portraits he had a better understanding of the human body. Although Leonardo was a man of many skills he is primarily famous for
being a painter, one of his most popular pieces of art was the Mona Lisa. Which
today it is displayed in the Louvre museum in Paris after being acquired by
King Francis of France. I added a video which shows some of things that Leonardo invented and also shows more of his paintings.
